Calibration of flow meters
Other flow meters can be calibrated against the ReciFlow due to its high accuracy.
The instruments are normally connected in series and a constant flow is fed through them.
First of all the ReciFlow is very accurate. As it is also is very fast and measures continuously it can at the same time verify that the gas flow through the two meters are of good quality at the precise time of the calibration. If the reference meter only would take snapshots, or samples, of the flow rate, variations in the flow rate would affect the calibration of the second flow meter. An absolutely stable flow rate is not easy to produce, but by using a ReciFlow as reference instrument the quality of the flow is less critical.
